Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Zedi at zedi.sneeks.ai. By signing up or logging in, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.

Acceptable use

Zedi is a personal-finance tracking tool. You may use it to manage your own finances. You may not:

• Resell access to the service.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise bulk-extract data you do not own.
• Run automated scripts that abuse our imports, receipt OCR, bank sync, or authentication endpoints.
• Connect bank accounts through bank sync that you do not own or are not authorized to access.
• Upload content you do not have the right to upload, or content that's illegal, malicious, or designed to harm other users.

We may throttle or suspend accounts that abuse the service. See Termination below.

Account responsibility

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure. If you sign in with email and password, use a unique strong password and don't share it. If you sign in with Google or Apple, keep that provider account secure (two-factor authentication strongly recommended). If you think someone has gained access to your account, change your password or the linked-provider password, sign out of all sessions, and email us at zedi@sneeks.ai.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by a compromised account when the compromise stems from a weak, shared, or reused password, or from a sign-in method you did not keep secure.

Data accuracy

Zedi is an informational tool. It is not financial, tax, or legal advice. The auto-categorization engine, receipt OCR, and statement parsers are best-effort: they work well most of the time, but they can and do make mistakes. Always verify important numbers against your bank and your own records before acting on them.

Bank sync is optional and runs through SimpleFIN Bridge, a service you subscribe to separately, which gets your data from its provider MX. Synced transactions arrive as SimpleFIN delivers them: they can be late, skip pending charges, or differ from your statement, and we are not responsible for errors in the data SimpleFIN or MX provide, or for their availability.

No warranties

Zedi is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Imports may fail. Categorization may be wrong. The service may be unavailable for maintenance. You use it at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of your use of Zedi is limited to the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. If you use Zedi on the free tier or with your own API key and have paid us nothing in that period, that amount is $0.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or decisions you made based on information Zedi displayed.

Termination

You can close your account at any time. Once you do, we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close your account if you violate these terms. For non-abusive violations, we'll give you 7 days' notice and a chance to fix the issue. For abusive behavior (automated scraping, credential-stuffing, attacks on other users) we may suspend the account immediately.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes arising under them will be resolved in the courts located in San Luis Obispo County, California. If you live somewhere whose consumer-protection laws give you rights that these terms cannot limit, including the right to bring a claim in your own jurisdiction, nothing here takes those rights away.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. For material changes, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Zedi after that is acceptance of the new terms.
