For banks that only give you a PDF

The statement your bank sends as a PDF, as a ledger.

Some banks only give you a PDF. Zedi reads it in the background, checks the extracted rows against the printed balances, and stages them for review like any other import.

What you get

Everything on this page is in the app today.

  • Upload one PDF or a batch. Extraction runs as a background job and the page polls until the preview is ready, so a long statement never times out.
  • Account type (checking, credit card, savings) and the sign of each amount come from the statement itself. When an extracted sign is wrong, the printed daily balances are used to correct it.
  • The extracted rows are reconciled against the statement, interest lines included, before you commit.
  • The same file is never imported twice: a SHA-256 file hash rejects a repeat upload, and row fingerprints catch the same transaction arriving later as CSV or QFX.
  • Password-protected PDFs are rejected up front instead of failing mid-extraction, and a failed extraction can be retried from the archived PDF for 14 days.
  • Ten PDF statements a month on our key, resetting on the first. Unlimited on your own Anthropic key.
Common questions

Before you sign up.

Where does the PDF go?+
To Claude (Anthropic) for extraction, with only the file and an extraction prompt. Anthropic does not train on API inputs and deletes them within 30 days. The parsed rows live in the Zedi database.
How long does it take?+
It depends on the statement length. Upload returns right away, and you can keep working while the preview is prepared.
What if it fails?+
Failed statements keep their PDF for 14 days so you can retry from the archive, and a batch that would need more scans than you have left fails right away instead of partway through.
